On Wednesday, December 1, the DSF hosted the Southeast Meet and Mingle event at the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta. The 80+ people in attendance agreed that it was so good to have the industry back at an event. For many this was one of the first gatherings they had been at since the start of the pandemic. The event was sponsored by Appspace, BrightSign, NanoLumens, and Legrand. Their support, along with the partnership with the Georgia Aquarium, allowed for complimentary attendance.
One highlight of the event was the large viewing windows of the beluga whales and of the large fish tank. The view mesmerized attendees while they networked, caught up on personal stories, and checked in with each other as many are now in places.
There was also a tour of the aquarium facilities and the media technology which enhances the visitor experience. Many thanks to the aquarium staff for showing off this world class experience.
The DSF is glad to be back to meeting and will be letting members and the industry know of locations for 2022 events soon.
